The Blog Train Blog - May, 2012 - A Royal Wedding

The Blog Train Blog is hosting another Blog Train this month titled 'A Royal Wedding' and I've created a 'bejeweled' collection of items as my contribution.

Here's what I have for you...

(Download expired).

The password is: tbtbMay12

Edited to add:  The password is not to gain access to the download, it is for purposes of 'unzipping' the file.  It has been tested and confirmed working properly.  If you are not asked to enter a password when running your archival software, then I would suggest trying another software program to 'unzip' your files - I recommend 7-zip.

Another Edit - May 3, 2012:  MAC USERS - I've been informed that 7-zip is for PC users only and have had 2 other, free, software programs suggested as possibilities for MAC users - I do not know anything about these programs nor of the site's that offer them, so please be an educated consumer and research them before use.  The programs are The Unarchiver, found at the MAC App Store and Stuffit Expander at stuffit.com.

If you've arrived at my blog by way of the blog train, then you would have arrived here from the blog of Digital Harmony Design Studio.

Your next stop would then be to the blog of Stargazy Creations.

For a complete list of participating designers and their URLs, please visit The Blog Train Blog.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Scrapping!

    1. I'm sorry you're having problems. Are you by any chance a MAC user? If so, please see my reply to Anonymous' May 2, 2012 09:27 AM post below. If you continue to have problems and want to email me about it (contact information can be found on my profile page), I'll do my best to fix the problem for you.

  5. I am running a mac and 7zip is for pc's only that is probably why this is not working for us mac's user. Maybe you could try another downloader user. Just a thought. Thank you for trying anyway.

    1. Thank you Heidi for the additional information - I am still looking into this problem but an initial search of the problem with unzipping password protected files for MAC users has shown that you are not able to do it with the basic unzipping capabilities of your computer but that you have to do some other, out-of-the-ordinary, process to have it ask for a password... something to do with launching your Console Terminal (?) or, alternatively, using another software program for MAC users, something like Zipeg. Might this be useful to you?

I don't often like downloading from sights other than mac's sight, but I did just to load your beautiful art work and it worked wonderful. thank you for the art. Mac's have had these problems before and I find it interesting that Mediafire is a file i use but would not load your work. I wonder why it works in many many sights except this time. It certainly has me puzzled.

    1. Heidi, thank you so much for your compliment on my work. It helped me to put a smile on. :-)
I certainly understand your reluctance to download from unknown sites, I tend to be overly cautious myself. I have heard that there is a free app from the MAC Apps Store called The Unarchiver; some have had success opening my file with this but others have not, so I guess it's an iffy thing.
In regards to your being 'puzzled', although I don't know MACs, I'm technically saavy enough to comfidently tell you that the problem has nothing to do with MediaFire; it is not, as you say, a MediaFire file. MediaFire is just a file hosting service, holding files in storage. The problem is with the .ZIP, archiving process and the MAC's sometimes inability to open them; the zip/archiving of files was developed in the PC world long before the MACs and PCs started trying to 'play nice' together so I guess it's natural that there would be problems with it working fully on a MAC.

  9. thank you for your part of this sweet blog train.
BTW, I used Unarchiver for the decompression and it worked just fine. Tried it with Stuffit as well, no issues there either. :)
